There is something I love about the BIC pen: it is an everyday tool, simple, almost ordinary… and yet it forgives nothing. No eraser, no undo, every line counts.
With this pack, I take this familiar pen and lead it somewhere else: onto an FSC‑certified wood panel, to create a portrait where every line is intentional, alive, and turns your photos into a bold, deeply personal art piece.

The price
€220 – $260 USD VAT included. This includes the creation of the portrait, printing on wood, and delivery within Europe.
From your photo to the artwork
I start from your photos and from what you tell me about the person (or animal): their energy, softness, humour, that “something” that makes them instantly recognisable.
From there, I draw in pen, line by line, without a safety net, letting shadows, reflections, and small irregularities appear — exactly what brings the portrait to life.
Once the drawing is finished, I have it printed on FSC‑certified wood chosen for its warmth and natural grain.
The result is not “just a black‑and‑white picture”. It is an object with presence in the room, like a face that really looks back at you.
The original drawing stays in the studio: the wood print becomes your artwork, designed to last and be displayed. Size 20 × 30 cm / 8 × 12″, thickness 10 mm / 0.4″.

Unlike a standard printed photo or an AI‑generated visual, this pack offers a balance between raw technique and noble support::

I don’t apply a “drawing filter” to a photo. I create an artwork from it.
From intention to finished piece
- The connection – You send one or several reference photos via the order form or by email, with a few words about the person (or animal). Together, we confirm feasibility and timing.
- The creation – I hand‑draw the portrait with a BIC pen in my studio, then prepare the file for a high‑quality print on FSC wood.
- The delivery – You receive your finished portrait on wood, ready to offer or hang, carefully protected in its packaging.
Timing and adjustments
Allow about 2 weeks for creation, plus shipping time. For safety, plan around a month from order confirmation. Before the final print on wood, we can have a quick exchange to make small adjustments if needed.
About the signature
Out of respect for the intimacy of the people portrayed, I don’t systematically sign the portrait on the front.
“I consider that this image belongs to you first, and I prefer not to add my visual presence. I therefore sign only on request — just let me know when you order.”
